Administrative / biographical background:

The London and Home Counties Traffic Advisory Committee was established in 1924 with the purpose of advising the Minister of Transport in the exercise of his powers relating to the improved regulation of traffic within the London Traffic area.

In 1933, the Committee was reconstituted with increased local authority representation.

The Committee was wound up by the London Government Act, 1963.
