SOFINDUS [Sociedad Financiera Industrial]. This Nazi-controlled organisation based in Madrid was established at the outset of the Spanish Civil War as a means of supplying Franco with German war materials. Later its function was to exploit Spain for the benefit of Germany. SOFINDUS provided a cover for political and economic intelligence gathering. It held a special peseta fund for use by German Intelligence
