This series contains selected files from the Ministry of Health's 90,000 series (94,251-94,300 block), covering a range of specialised medical and administration services, including files illustrating the effects on these services (and those providing them) of the National Health Service Act 1946. Other files deal with the setting up and administration of the Executive Councils, the Dental Estimates Board, medical practitioner committees, the prescribing of drugs and appliances, and medical, dental, pharmaceutical, supplementary ophthalmic and physiotherapy services. A large number of files contain papers relating to various committees and working parties, including the Royal Commission on Doctors' and Dentists' Remuneration (1957-1960).
