Benjamin GREENE: British. GREENE, whose mother was German, was detained under Regulation 18B in 1940 because of his National Socialist views and his admiration for Hitler's Germany. He was released in 1942 and the following year filed an action against the Home Secretary for wrongful imprisonment. After 5 days in the High Court GREENE dropped his action. He retained his right-wing political views after the war
