Letter from the Lord Onslow [Lord Lieutenant of Surrey] in response to HO 42/21/21, suggesting that Robinson be asked whether he would resign his surveyorship in order to become a magistrate of the Southwark Public Office, failing which Onslow would recommend a Mr Hill. Enclosed is Onslow's original list of recommendations: Gideon Fournier, Jonathan Stonard and John Robinson.
