Content: Folios 268-269. Letter from William Jones, Clerk to the Guardians of the Llanfyllin Union, to the Poor Law Board acknowledging their letter which enclosed a copy letter from Mr Edwards [Thomas Edwards], Medical Officer for Llansantffraid [Llansanffraid] District. The clerk encloses a copy of a recent resolution of the guardians: an extraordinary meeting has been called for next week to reconsider the matter. The resolution states that, after considering the letters from the Poor Law Board and Mr Edwards, the arrangements proposed were satisfactory: an amendment ruling them unsatisfactory was lost. Annotation: referred to Mr Doyle [Andrew Doyle] who advises awaiting the outcome of the extraordinary meeting and asks to be informed of it. Paper Number: 17228/1849. Poor Law Union Number 621.
