Description: |
Philip Stephens. HM ships frequently require their upper works to be caulked at Spithead and in Plymouth Sound. As it is better that fewer Caulkers are taken from the yard works, propose directions are given for the Carpenter's crews belonging to the ships at Spithead and Plymouth Sound, to be employed in assisting the yard Caulkers in any works necessary and that they have the same allowance, while so employed, as is allowed by the General Printed Instructions for working on other ships abroad. |
