Content: Folio 53. Letter from J and W Rees Mogg [John Rees Mogg and William Rees Mogg] of Temple Cloud near Bristol, Clerks to the Guardians of the Clutton Poor Law Union, to the Poor Law Board, in reply to their letter of 26 May 1851, asking if the Justices had issued an order for the payment of expenses in the apprehension of Benjamin Goold [Gould], a pauper who absconded from the Clutton Workhouse with clothes belonging to the guardians. The justices can only award payment to the constables and Goold [Gould] was apprehended in an adjoining county.
