Content: Folios 388-389. Letter from J and W Rees Mogg [John Rees Mogg and William Rees Mogg], Clerks to the Guardians of the Clutton Poor Law Union to the Poor Law Commission concerning the recommendation that the guardians consider and adopt a sick dietary for the inmates of the workhouse. They note that a table was duly considered at the meeting of 5 February 1847 and adopted and append details of the adopted dietary, for which they request approval. Annotated: does not meet needs of a sick dietary which should include a full diet, a half diet and low diet according to the sick paupers requirements as directed by the medical officer. Adopting the full diet means the master could charge full diet for all sick persons, when they may be consuming much less. Answer in accordance with Mr Gulson's remarks.
