Content: Folio 193. Letter from Thomas N Firmin, Clerk to the Guardians of the Southampton Incorporation, to the Poor Law Board, acknowledging letter no 29434/1856., dated 9 September, that referred to an earlier letter, dated 24 July 1856, respecting proposed alterations and additions to the school premises. Firmin states that a committee of guardians approved a plan, which followed the board's suggestions and that this will be submitted at the guardians' next meeting. Annotation: Mr Hawley [W H Toovey Hawley, Poor Law Inspector], 12 September 1856. Request to see the plan when the guardians have agreed on it. 13 September 1856. Write answer, 15 September 1856.
