Content: Folio 54. Letter from A Power [Alfred Power, Assistant Poor Law Commissioner], to the Poor Law Commission, recommending that an order in the accompanying form [not included] should be issued to the guardians of the Keighley Poor Law Union directing them to take over the administration of relief. Consultation with the magistrates has shown that the law can be implemented immediately, the guardians, elected and ex officio, are now in favour of the new system, having observed it in operation in neighbouring Halifax Poor Law Union, Bradford Poor Law Union and Skipton Poor Law Union.
