Content: Folios 27-28. Letter from Matthew Walker and John Midgley, Churchwardens; and John Harrison, Thomas Murgatroyd and Samuel Royston, Overseers; all of Bingley, addressed to James Hulbert, Guardian, Bingley township in the Keighley Poor Law Union. They state that in 1817 a survey of the parish was made and has been used in assessments for the relief of the poor; some details are given. Although, additions to this valuation have been done over time, a new valuation should be made in regard to 'An Act to regulate Parochial Assessments...' [Parochial Assessments Act].
