Content: Folio 455. Report of a visit made by the Commissioners in Lunacy to the Kidderminster Poor Law Union workhouse, on 5 October 1848, by Mr Campbell and Dr Prichard. The form includes details of diet, accommodation and treatment and of particular cases. The cases mentioned are: Henry Dugard, epileptic and idiotic. John Lewis, weakminded. William Jordan, idiotic. John Hill, imbecile. Edward Turner, epileptic. William Hill, epileptic, insane, dementia. Richard Shutt, epileptic, idiotic. Mary Brown, weakminded. Abigail Edwards, weakminded. Kizia Ward, senile dementia. Mary Moseley, weakminded. Sarah Wharton, weakminded and epileptic. Mary Perry, weakminded and epileptic. Elizabeth Nicholls, weakminded and epileptic. Sophia Shephard, weakminded and epileptic. Susannah Reed, weakminded and epileptic. Martha Noakes, weakminded and epileptic. Thomas Hasfield, Medical Officer, attends daily and those of weak bodily health are usually put on a full diet and allowed meat daily with beer.
