Enclosed for approval is a copy of a resolution passed at a guardians' meeting appointing Gilbert Ward as Medical Officer for the Blyth District at £40 per annum, Mr Greenwood [William Greenwood] having declined proving legal qualifications to practise in England as a surgeon Annotated: by J W [Sir John Walsham, Assistant Poor Law Commissioner], to approve.
