| Folios 178-186. Letter from the Reverend Thomas Paddon, Mattishall, East Dereham, to the Poor Law Commission, enclosing emigration papers. The sum of money being applied for has been reduced due to the size of the party being reduced from that stated in his original letter to Doctor Kay [James Philip Kay], Assistant Poor Law Commissioner. This alteration is due to 11 people not wishing to be sent to Quebec or any other place other than New York. Paddon requests an early answer to the application as the ship taking these people is due to sail in early April.
