Notes: Report on a collision that occurred on 22 January 1877, near Guide Bridge Station, between a passenger train and an engine and wagon. Named witnesses attested that shunter altered signals without authority from signalman. Adverse comment regarding MS&L's progress in complying with Board of Trade requirements in respect of branch lines.
