Description:

Folios 151-152. Letter from Mr Buckley, Minesteed Lodge, Stony Cross [Minestead Lodge, Stoney Cross], [Hampshire], requesting approximately 100 swords, for the men sworn in as special constables in Lyndhurst and surrounding villages. He adds that the constables will be on horseback, and that, if the request meets no opposition, the swords could be passed onto the yeomanry once they are re-formed.
