Folio 392. Letter from John Harrop, Clerk to the Manchester Board of Guardians, to the Poor Law Commissioners, acknowledging receipt of their letter related to the resignation of John Shepherd Fletcher so far as his attendance at the Tib Street Workhouse is concerned, enclosing a form of queries to be completed on the appointment of a successor. The guardians have appointed Farquhar Milne as temporary medical officer at the Tib Street Workhouse at an annual salary of £100, particulars of which are enclosed, while no alteration has been made of Fletcher's salary as medical officer of the Canal Street Workhouse. |
