Report of William Boteler, Recorder Sandwich on Richard Gann convicted at the Sessions held at for the 'Town and Port of Sandwich and it's Liberties in Kent' on 28 August 1817[?] for a burglary and stealing a gold watch and seals, property of Diana Andrews of Deal, on 7 April 1817. Grounds for clemency: no violence was used. Initial sentence: death. Recommendation: transportation for life. Folios 268-270. |
