Description:

It consists of rules, amendments to rules, annual returns and various statutory documents of certain Building Societies removed from the Register before 1951. The files are of Societies certified under the Building Societies Act 1836 and incorporated under the Building Societies Act 1874, before 1876 and also during the years 1885, 1895, 1905, 1914, 1924, 1934, and 1945 which were removed from the Register before 1 January 1951.
