Title: Exchequer: King's Remembrancer: Reports and Certificates
Description:

Reports and certificates made by the Deputy Remembrancer, the sworn clerks, the Master of the Court and others, in response to matters referred to them by the orders and decrees of the Court of Exchequer.

Many relate to the taxation of costs or the deposit of monies in Court. Others are substantive financial statements enabling the settlement, distribution or sale of estates and assets in accordance with the decrees and orders of the Court.

Some reports include a summary of receipts and payments, names of tenants and creditors, with amounts paid, inventories of goods, and other data used to achieve a financial balance; others give the sum total only. Reports were prefaced by a brief note of the circumstances which occasioned the request for a report.
