The Imperial Communications Committee of the Committee of Imperial Defence was established in 1919 upon a decision of the War Cabinet. Its members included representatives from the Air Ministry, War Office, Admiralty, Signals, Foreign Office, Colonial Office, India Office, Board of Trade and General Post Office. These papers were circulated to members of the Cabinet, the CID, to members of the relevant committees or sub-committees, to representatives of the War Office and to other officials who needed to be kept informed. |
