Description: |
This series is made up of deeds held by Chancery which were separated from the main series in C 146 bacause of their late date. They date from the reign of James I (1603-1625) onwards, but are not greatly different in type from that in the original collection. |

The documents are held in 63 boxes of differing sizes, each of which may well contain two dozen or more deeds, loose, in bundles and in portfolios. Two of the boxes cover two piece numbers, which accounts for the total of 65 pieces in the series. Some bundles are probably discrete assemblages of related material.
