Copy, attested by Emanuel, son of Ferdinand III., King of Castile, and others of (1) the treaty between Henry III. and Alfonso, King of Castile, dated 12 Kal. Maii, 1254; (2) letter of Henry III. to Alfonso IV., dated Winchester, 24 June, 40 Hen. III.; (3) powers by Henry III. to William [de Kilkenny], Bishop of Ely, and John de Gatesden to complete the said treaty, dated Clarendon, 8 July, 40 Hen. III.; and (4) the oath of the Bishop of Ely and John de Gatesden, on behalf of Henry III., to observe the said treaty, dated Segovia, 20 September, 1256. Burgos, Kal. Aug.
