Records of the dissolution and winding up of companies that were incorporated mainly under legislation other than the Companies Acts, although a few were registered under the Companies Acts.

The records consist mainly of liquidators' accounts and related documents.

Companies listed included chartered companies, cooperatives, public utilities, railways, banks, building societies and companies formed to build accommodation for the labouring classes.
