Returned oyer and terminer commission, Notts, held by Thomas Fulthorpe, William Ayscough and associates at Nottingham on 7-8 Sept and 6 Dec 1440, and 27 Apr 1441, and at Newark on 15 Oct and 5 Dec 1440 under commission dated 10 July 1440 (Cal.Patent Rolls 1436-41, 450) for all murders, felonies, trespasses and other misdeeds generally specified; trial of Henry lord Grey of Codnor, Derb, and many others: file of writs and precepts. Called into King's Bench by order of 15 Feb 1442. The equivalent file for Derbyshire under a commission of the same date to the same justices, for a session at Derby on 5 Sept 1441, is in KB 9/1114; neither of the indictments files has been found

Note: mm 63 recovered from unsorted common law writ sacks and added in 1967 and still in its original format
