The Proscribed Organisation Appeals Commission is an independent tribunal established under the Terrorism Act 2000. Proscribed organisations comprise those combinations of persons condemned or forbidden because their activities are harmful. The Lord Chancellor is responsible for appointing members of the Commission and its jurisdiction covers the whole of the United Kingdom. It has a dedicated hearing centre based in London.
