Alienation Office account books of cash transactions with the officers and clerks

The first volume is a simple chronological record of cash payments, including rents, salaries and other expenses, and pensions paid to individuals, such as the Duke of St Albans, bastard son of Charles II and Nell Gwynne. The later volumes were kept by the deputy receiver and include information on land tax payments, the collection of post-fines for licences to make final concords, and cash accounts of receipts and payments with the principal officers, their deputies and the clerks.
