| Administrative / biographical background: |
John Ardagh (1885-1949) was the clerk responsible for the Botany Library from 1921 until he retired in 1947. He was succeeded by Edward J Clow and then, in 1951, by Phyllis I Edwards, who remained Botany Librarian until 1976. Phyllis Edwards' correspondence relates to her own historical researches, as well as to purely library matters. |
