This series consists of drafts and notes for the annual reports of work carried out in the Department which were submitted via the Director to the Trustees. DF 408/1-9 contain the Keeper's own drafts and notes, while DF 408/10-30 contain the contributions sent to him by the sections. These contain much detailed information which was not included in the final report. Series held at The Natural History Museum are catalogued more fully in its online catalogue (reference DF BOT/408).
