| Custodial history: | These maps were collected in the State Paper Office, and were subsequently placed in the Public Record Office Library. In the 1970s, the decision was taken to house them on open access shelves in the Map Room at Kew. On consolidation at Kew of the holdings of the former Chancery Lane library and the Kew library, in 1996, they were listed and replaced on open access shelves in the Map and Large Document Reading Room. |
