Administrative / biographical background:

The Global Atmosphere Division within DEFRA worked as part of the UK's response to Climate Change. The Transport Liaison Global Atmosphere worked in coordination with other DEFRA areas, DEFRA Agencies such as Natural England and the Environment Agency, other NDPBs such as the Campaign for Better Transport and also a wide range of teams in the Department for Transport. They worked to ensure that transport policy included due consideration of environmental aspects.
