Description:

This series contains the agenda, minutes and papers of many of the working parties and other small groups set up by the University Grants Committee or its sub-committees. The function of most of them was to examine the provision and standard of higher educational courses in various subjects provided by universities, and to report back to the main Committee. One committee looked into the management and organisation of the Open University and another into university provision in Northern Ireland.
