Catalogue description University Grants Committee: Reports and Annual Surveys

This series contains an incomplete set of reports and annual surveys from the University Grant's Committee, and a number of reports on specific topics ranging from superannuation of university teachers to the teaching of computing in universities. Where reports were wanting at the time of transfer into the PRO these files were listed but not given piece numbers.

Between 1919 and 1962 the University Grants Committee produced reports on its activities at irregular intervals.The report for 1919-1921, the interim report for 1947-1951, and all subsequent reports, appeared as parliamentary papers. From 1963 annual surveys replaced the reports.

Certain of these reports are wanting from this series but cross-references to texts elsewhere in UGC records are given in the list.
