Entry books of out-letters, 1806 to 1859, and press copy books of the same, 1899 to 1919, of the Treasury Solicitor and HM Procurator General, arising from business undertaken by Treasury direction or falling within the area of the Treasury's authority. They cover a variety of subjects, such as matters relating to bills of costs, criminal prosecutions, estates of deceased British subjects living abroad, work in connection with bonds, particularly as regards student interpreters in the consular service, and treasure trove. Some of the later volumes contain material concerning Development Fund business.
