Catalogue description Treasury: Grants Ledgers and Letter Books

These books record the individual transactions associated with the various votes, funds and accounts accounted for by the Treasury. They show the cash position of those votes, funds and accounts and of the imprest holders and other sub-accountants of the Treasury Accounting Officer

Totals of Treasury expenditure in the period may be found in the annual appropriation and other accounts prepared by the Treasury and presented to Parliament by the Treasury or the Comptroller and Auditor General.
