Catalogue description Ministry of Supply and successors: Civil Aircraft Research and Development Branch and successors: Registered Files (AE File series)

This series contains files of the Civil Aircraft Research and Development Branch of the Ministry of Supply and of the Concord (later Concorde) Division of the Ministries of Supply, of Aviation, of Technology, of Aviation Supply and of the Department of Trade and Industry. The files relate to early supersonic transport projects including Concorde, and other aircraft such as the Airbus project and the Britten Norman Islander.

The files in this series with the AE prefix were raised by the Civil Aircraft Research and Development Branch under the charge of the Director of Aircraft, Civil.
