The Crime Directorate leads on that part of the Home Office's strategy, policy and legislation that is aimed at preventing and reducing crime. The array of issues the directorate covers includes: anti-social behaviour, violent crime, youth crime, reducing re-offending, drugs and alcohol as enablers of crime, partnerships as inhibitors of crime and licensing of controlled drugs. Prior to the formation of the Crime Directorate, crime prevention policy sat within F3 Division of the Police Department. |
