Title: Poor Law Commission and successors: Extracts from Minutes and Abstracts of Correspondence
Description:

This series consists of bound and indexed volumes containing monthly abstracts (and in some cases complete copies) of correspondence received and issued by the Poor Law Commissioners and successors. There is a considerable overlap in the first three volumes. Numbers three to five were the copies of E Adrian, a clerk to the Commissioners.

From July 1839 to March 1840 these abstracts and copies are duplicated and entitled Extracts from Minutes. There is then a break until December 1840, when the series starts again in printed form. From June 1841 the series is entitled Abstract of Correspondence.
