Description:

Solly ZUCKERMAN, alias Lord ZUCKERMAN: British. A distinguished scientist with a number of communists among his wide circle of friends, and official appointments giving him access to secret material, ZUCKERMAN came under suspicion in 1948 with the interception of an application in his name to join the Communist Party. Investigation suggested that this was a malicious forgery, possibly by his academic colleague Lancelot HOGBEN, and ZUCKERMAN continued to have access to the most delicate material
