This series contains war diaries which contain the daily record of events, reports on operations, intelligence reports, etc, of commanders of units which formed the British Commonwealth Division in Korea as part of the United Nations Force during the Korean War of 1950 to 1953, and until their subsequent disbandment.
There are two series of headquarters war diaries in the series: one of the Commonwealth Division Headquarters which was the operational headquarters; and another the British Commonwealth Forces in Korea (BCFK) Headquarters which was responsible for support services.
The official Korean War historian, General Sir Farrar-Hockley, whose history was published in 1990 (volume 1) and 1995 (volume 2), used documents found in the piece range 1207-1320, which partly duplicate earlier material in this series.
