Documents (some formerly in SP 5) concerned chiefly with the Reformation and its advancement and enforcement - among them, sermons, parliamentary drafts and legislation, fragments of the Bishops' Book of 1537, as well as treatises on various theological subjects, including Henry VIII's divorce, papal authority and the royal supremacy. Most date from the 1530s.
The records may once have been part of Thomas Cromwell's archive.
