Correspondence from 'Miscellaneous Offices' (Government departments and other organisations) and from Individuals on matters relating to Trinidad. Correspondence from 'offices' is dated August to December 1903; that from individuals is dated throughout the year. Correspondents and subjects are as follows:

: Miscellaneous Offices:

  • Local Government Board (smallpox epidemic);
  • Lloyd's (wireless telegraphy, proposed installation of Marconi equipment at Trinidad and Tobago, request for enquiries to be made into new developments of the Hozier-Brown radioscope system);
  • Pearl Fisheries Limited (proposal for oyster concession in waters of Trinidad, St Vincent, Barbados and the Grenadines);
  • General Post Office (improved postal facilities for Tobago, imperial pension for J A Bulmer, new arrangement for inter-colonial packets to call at Tobago);
  • Direct West India Cable Company Limited (cable interruptions);
  • Imperial Institute (report on petroleum samples, government geologist, report on manjak [or manjack] sample and transmission of reports to colonies);
  • Colonial Office (approval of appointment of E A Northcote as chief justice);
