Administrative / biographical background: |
This file is unusual in the SOE personnel file series in that it contains a file not about an SOE employee, agent or prosepective employee or agent, but about a foreign figure who was reported as having made comments of interest to SOE. Boheman, later a senior Swedish diplomat and speaker of the lower house, was a minister of the Swedish government during the Second World War, and this file records how a speech of his, which mentioned in passing British flights into neutral Sweden, was reported to SOE. A file was set up to hold a copy of the report of the speech, but there is no evidence in the file to show that Boheman had any substantive links to SOE. |
