Subject: The defendant John Truscott had leased the tithes of his parish to the plaintiff and the defendant Cole. When Truscott was arrested for debt, the plaintiff agreed to pay for him on the understanding that their account relating to the tithes would be adjusted accordingly, but this had not happened: property in Lewtrenchard, Devon.
