Grant by Robert de Hastinges, to the nuns of Wikes of 5s. of the rent that his uncle Ralph de Berners owes him, in frank almoin. Witnesses:- Gilbert Carbunel, Blacsalt, William Bret, and others (named). Annexed: Final concord between Constance, prioress of Wykes, plaintiff, and Matthew de Lincam, deforciant, concerning 5s. rent in Berneston. The prioress claims 40s. for arrears of the said rent, which however she releases to Matthew on his acknowledging that he owes her the said rent, to be received at Berneston out of the tenement which Ralph de Berners holds of him there: [Essex.].
