The Furniture Group came into existence in the mid-1960s as the Furniture and Allied Products Group. Following a company reorganisation in 1972, this became the Furniture Group which took over part of the work undertaken by the former Engineering Group in 1972/1973. The Leather and Textile Products Group was created in the mid-1960s as the Leather and Allied Products Group. Following company reorganisation in 1972/1973, this group absorbed the Knitwear Group and became the Leather and Textile Products Group. Further changes took place in 1983/1984 when the Leather and Textile Products Group's Clothing Division and Leather Goods Division were amalgamated to create the Textile Sewing Division. |
