Records of the Steering Board which meets three times each year and advises the Agency on its strategic issues, forward look and priorities, its high level objectives and targets and new ways of working. Although it provides guidance on the operation and development of the Agency it has no operational role.

The Board is chaired by an independent appointee. There are two other independent members with experience from industry or business, senior officials from the Department for Business, Enterprise and Regulatory Reform and the Chief Executive.
