This series contains service of the Royal Naval Volunteer Reserve (RNVR). The ratings' records are bound volumes of enrolment forms. The records give details of ships served in, period of service and remarks such as details of appearance and war gratuity eligibility.

Please Note: Digital copies of World War One service records belonging to those who served in the Royal Naval Volunteer Reserve can be searched and downloaded. This includes all pieces in the series other than those which are indices (ADM 337/100 and 109-116).

Officers' records are arranged in volumes relating to executive officers, engineer officers, medical officers. chaplains and accountants, all indexed by a single series of cards.
