Treasury: English Excise Establishment Registers
Quarterly English excise salary lists, etc.
This incomplete series of records were inspected at the Treasury and selected by William Henry Black of the Public Record Office, between 1842-1845, see 7th Report of the Deputy Keeper of the Public Records 30 March 1846, Appendix II, pp 20-21. The records were there for a brief period only and were incomplete at the time and some appeared to have been sent to the Commissioners of Customs following the fire at Custom House on 12th February 1814.
